Unisom every night during pregnancy?

I've been taking Unisom (doxylamine succinate 25mg) every night to help me sleep. I've researched it a lot, and I know its safe while pregnant, but I take it every night, just about.
The doctor told me it was safe to take Unisom, but I'm kind of freaked out that I'm having to take it so much, but its really hard to get comfortable and fall asleep without it. Is it okay that I'm taking it every night??
I read you shouldn't take it in the last 3 months of pregnancy, but I am almost 16 weeks along.
Did anyone else take sleep aids during pregnancy and can give me some reassurance? Thanks!

I took Unisom in the first trimester but not every day. I was told not to take it every day. So I would save it for when I really needed to get some sleep or had to be up really early and was having trouble falling asleep. You might want to talk to your doctor about how often you've been taking it. I'm now 28 weeks and don't even bother trying to take anything because I wake up every 3 hours to pee anyways and I am never comfortable.

i would definitely tell your doctor how much you are taking it so that he knows, that way if its too much he can tell you. only the doctor can tell you if its safe to take that much, i wouldnt let anyone else decide that for you.
