Are a runny nose and a sore throat aids symptoms?

They are a symptom of a recent HIV infection, but not AIDS...symptoms for AIDS are much worse. But then again, a runny nose and a sore throat are also symptoms of the flu, the common cold, allergies, some cancers, etc...so assuming it to be a symptom of AIDS might be taking things to extremes.
