Do i have AIDS/HIV? |
at school, this kid had a pin and he pricked several people with it, and i was one of the people, and it was during the flu season so people had to have germs inside them. so since then i've been feeling sick. i haven't thought of that until yesterday while we were talking about aids in health class. my symptoms were: drowsiness, Muscle aches and joint pain, Diarrhea(bloody), swollen/sore throat, cramps, Night sweats, shortness of breath(had this before i got pricked). HIV/AIDS takes awhile to show up. Since the incident happened at school the school should have you and any other student involved tested for any infectious diseases at the schools expense. I am assuming that you are under 18 so you might have to have your parents help to force the school to pay and make sure that the other student is kept away from others as he is a danger to others! absolutely...the odds are you're going to die soon. I suggest doing everyone and everything. as you never know when the reaper's gonna come a knockin' Quit worrying and get a test, this could be just the flu or cold. But why is this guy going around pricking people with a pin, this is not good, so you should talk to your teacher about this, because it could be potentially dangerous. It could be possible for the fact of you have no idea how many people were pricked and all the fluids from everyone else have come into contact with yours. The only thing that I can tell you is that it would be best to go to the doctor now than wait. I wouldnt get yourself too worked up though, like you said the flu is going around. But for sure go to the doctor. Good Luck Those symptoms could have come from many many things and it's pretty unlikely that you have HIV. Just to be safe I would get tested, good luck! i hope you turned the kid in because aids is bad,you need to donate blood because they check for it and doesn't cost you for blood work, they send you a report on your blood work.i know because i had blood transfusion and i was worried about aids so i donated blood so they would screen my blood at no cost to me,no aids but i did get hepatitis b and i had bad cholesterol just give blood be safe Why would AIDS/HIV be your first assumption? Those symptoms are symptoms of dozens of different diseases, including flu and colds. Definitely go to the doctor though because bloody diarrhea is not a good sign. Well.. reading these answers have gotten me even more confused. Anyway....you are probably more at risk of contracting hepatitis. Being pricked by a pin is not something to balk at. The bloody diarrhea is of some concern to me though. I am really thinking more on the lines of flu like issues as well as the possibility of hepatitis whose symptoms miimic those of the flu. Please tell your parents about this if this an option for you. Insist on seeing your doctor ASAP. And by all means the pin sticking incident should be mentioned to the doctor. Unfortunately a diagnosis of AIDS/HIV would take a couple of weeks to show up in the bloodstream & there are many tests out there that your doctor can use. Go to doctor & have a simple blood test first. Hope you feel better. If you cannot go to your doctor then go to the school nurse & tell her of your concerns. did he stick you with a blood soaked pin? you don't have HIV from the pin stick. you need blood to blood contact. Sh*t dude. im sure u dont....dont worry.. |
