Do you think cancer or AIDS sufferers should be able to use marijuana legally to ease their symptoms?

Absolutely! When I was undergoing chemo, the nausea was incredible. Anything that would have relieved it would have been very welcome. It's just silly that this substance is not available to patients who would have their suffering eased. After all, we use morphine to ease pain all the time, but it isn't available on the open market.
When will the government wake up and allow doctors to write a prescription for marijuana.

Yes! I didn't even have cancer--I have Crohn's disease--and there was a period of time that I was vomiting up the strongest anti-nausea drug on the market. If I couldn't be helped by it, I shudder to think what some cancer patients have suffered. My grandma just died from cancer last week and she threw up even with her meds. I'd love it if there were more options. Much stronger, more dangerous drugs are legal for medical use. I think it's daft that marijuana is not in most areas. And even if it is, it's not generally accepted--there is a guy who was dying and needed a liver transplant. Sure. As long as they get the right weed. That new stuff on the streets is laced with all kinds of stuff. I don't know how medically appropriate it is.
