How come there are no cures for diseases only patches that can slow down the symptoms?

Almost every diseases espically STDs has a patch but no cure. I mean it is great that they are getting closer to a cure but why cant they make one.

IT has been so many years with these diseases, and new ones keep arriving. How do we get the cure to a diseases?

I mean all of this running for AIDS and buying ribbons for breast cancer are great. But where is all the money going, I can estimate that over a billion dollars has been raised to fight for diseases. We really need a cure for something right now.

there wont be a cure for aids or any other diseases only vaccination will be available in the future, but new diseases will be created. People who already have it, will have it forever. It's a great way of population control to my opinion. ring a bell?
