Issue with my Blood Circulation?

Since I live in Maine I live in a constant fluctuation of temperatures: Cold, and very cold. I was mowing my grandmother's lawn today and I got a symptom I usually have in the winter; my hands turned red, swelled, and became incredibly itchy. Suspecting it to be a circulation issue, I raised my hands to lend gravity aid to my veins and the edema subsided.

I don't suspect it to be an acute allergy thing since this occurs in different seasons and I had no other alergic symptoms at the time.

Do you think this is an issue with my veins? What could it be?

i don't think it had anything to do with circulation.
circulation problems usually have symptoms like:
-cold hands
-hands falling asleep.

this does seem like an alleric reaction to something.
to me it sounds like a latex allergy. are you allergic to latex? does your grandmothers lawn mower have latex parts on it or anything?
