Just b4 you decide to have sex is it best to ask your girlfriend to be tested for std/sti's?

even if she says she is a virgin, would it seem as if the guy does not trust her or the guy is just bein safe.

because you never know the girlfriend's parents might have aids etc and might of passed it on to her and she might lie about it. (this scenario sounds ridiculous but you never know)

i was thinking i wld ask her to be tested just to make feel at ease

I would suggest bringing up the idea of going and getting tested together but if she is a virgin she might be upset with you asking her this.

I would ask only if you VERY worried about it. If you love her enough to have sex with her and SHE LOVES YOU enough to have sex with you she probably wouldn't do anything to put you in danger. If she knew about it she probably wouldn't lie and the chances of her getting it from her parents are very slim unless you know for a fact that her parents have stds. I think you should trust her :)

perhaps this scenario should be TALKED about before you engage in sexual activity,it sounds more like "before i have a one night stand" as opposed to "before i have sex with my girlfriend" Grow up and respect what can happen from sex with strangers,or at least respect your partner before your first sexual encounter. STDs are on the increase.

Unless you want children then you should use a condom. The responsibility for preventing the spread of infection lies with both of you. If you care about someone and would like to take the relationship further perhaps you could suggest that you both are tested for STD's. You're as likely as she is to have an infection. I think being safe goes hand in hand with being respectful.
