Spritually speaking, what's the best way to get out of giving a speech in class? |
I really don't want to give this speech today, on final exam day, of all days. I'm completely anxious about it, and I don't have a visual aid. It's on social customs. I was gonan make a powerpoint, but my laptop blew up and the library doesn't have powerpoin on their computers. :( You can't get out of it, so might as well just do it with the best attitude possible. That's where I'm at right now too............ rather sucks. lol Consider it an exercise in character building. Overcoming fear of public speaking will be of great assistance to you throughout your life. It is bad for your soul to give in to fear and to avoid responsibility. When you signed up for this course, you agreed to give this speech. So you are morally obligated to at least try, even if you don't do a great job. Spiritually speaking, the best thing to do is accept the responsibility for the assignment and get it over with. Evading legitimate responsibilities merely because they are unpleasant is a sure sign you are not yet an adult. Welcome to reality. |
