Will she and her baby get AIDS? |
I have a friend who's husband has AIDS but it's undetectable because he takes all his meds on time everyday (He's had it for about 5 years). She tests all the time and always come back negative (She's been lucky). They read in a magazine that more than likely if she got pregnant they can have a baby who is healthy because he doesn't have enough of the virus to give them? What do you think? I'm in the same boat but I'm HIV+ and my husband is HIV-. The fact that the husband is taking his medication and keeping viral load down reduces the chances of transmission, but it is still possible to transmit to his wife. Does the husband have AIDS or is HIV positive? There is a difference. |
