Fat fingers - help!!?

I get random fat fingers and have been for the past 8 years. They go really swollen and painful and often have white lumps on them which throb and you can see the lumps going from white to red when blood pumps through them. This also happens to my feet and also sometimes my elbows! Doctors haven't been able to find out after all of this time and loads of tests. I'm hoping someone here will know.

Ok, just some guesses really. The mottled appearence going from red to white is i'd say just down to your tissues being stretched. The swelling isnt massive and is likely a circulation problem. Have you done anything when you get your (slightly) fat fingers...washed up, rushed around or more likely had a relaxing day?

Use gloves for washing up etc in case youre slightly allergic to detergent, if you get it more often after rushing around or relaxing then that points to circulation.

As the Drs arent helping much I'd suggest keeping a diary of everything that you do, (all food eaten, all activities, where you are in your cycle, even emotions) ..you will need to do this for a while and mark any fat finger days in bold so that you can look back at what (if anything) has preceded the fat fingers. All this is in the hope that it will show up something, anything, that could be the cause. If it does then youre armed to either treat it yourself or to take along to your Dr.

If keeping a diary doesnt show anything then you can see why the Drs are at a loss, they cant treat what they dont know.
