Herpes or what? |
my boyfriend and i have been dating about a year. he told me he never had an outbreak of genital herpes or a cold sore. he even took an AIDS test. we went down on each other number of times and nothing happened. but 6 months ago he took my virginity and 2 weeks later i went to the dr. and found out that i had hsv 1 on my genitals. i was confused becuz i went down on him all the time and there was nothing going on down there not even my mouth. my boyfriend ended up never having the disease so wondering whats up. i have been getting cold sores in my mouth since i was a child, could that be the problem. my dr tested me. i was tested negative for the other std. i tested positive for hsv 1. i was prescribed valtrex and some herpes ointment and took it immediately. currently after 6 months im suffering from my 2nd outbreak (less severe). HSV 1 is the type of herpes typically found in cold sores in the mouth. Since you are having oral sex with each other, this could be the source. ususally coldsores are contiagous if they are bleeding or if you are picking at them , in order for them to spread! Cause I kiss my boyfriend on the lips all the time, but I would't kiss him on his lips if my coldsore was bleeding or anything... What does your vagina look like with hsv 1 on the gential? is it reddlish, and dry, and everything, do you have blister like coldsores down there or what? its impossible for coldsores to be spread if they are't appearing on your lips , if you are giving your boyfriend oral and stuff. and he is giving you oral back. The question here is how are you spreading the virus if you are't having any outbreak on your lips ???? Its just weird to think that you can spread it .... Herpes in the mouth and Herpes in the genitals are almost the same thing. Both are highly contagious. If you performed oral sex on him a few days before the sore appeared or even a few days after you thought it was gone... the virus can still be active. have the boyfriend tested for antibodies to HSV-1. most likely you contracted the genital form of HSV 1 by having oral sex with him. HSV-1 is very very common, most people do have it even if they dont remember ever having a cold sore. you might have had it through the oral sex activity. cos hvs is common in mouth sours. but better contact a Dr for some medical tests. wish you the best of health. next time use a tooth bam. for oral sex |
