My cat is Vomiting?

My cat is a 13 year old mixed breed Siamese. My cat has been vomiting lately and he has lost weight his weight before was 9lbs 5 0z and I recently took him to the vet because of this problem is weight now is 7 lbs and 8 oz. The Vet did all of the mandatory blood work to check for kidney failure to check his thyroids, also to check to see if he has diabetes all test was normal accept his T3 it was slightly lowers the T4 was find and the CBC was find also, but Smoke continues to vomit once every 6 to 7 days and the weight loss happen in the last month and a half I really don't know what to do. Right now I am feeding him Science Diet Sensitive Stomach and I also give him Grass Gel which is suppose to aid in digestion I will call my Vet tomorrow but he doesn't see anything wrong with his blood work please has anyone has a cat that has gone thought this

My cat appetite hasn't decreased
He drinks water find and he plays all of the time.
about 5 years ago he did get shot for allergies
Also he goes to his litter box fine he does both #1 and #2 and no diarrhea

Go to a high quality pet food store, it will cost a bit more, depending on the kind you get but it will be worth it. Trust me. I feed my cat wellness core. Very high protien and completely grain free, and first ingredients are muscle meats. :) They also make a wet food that's excellent. Oh man, the comment about special kitty cat food. That's probably gotta be one of the worst. I cant even comprehend a vet saying that. But yes, if the wellness doesn't help, definitely go back to the vet. Hopefully your cat will live many more healthy and lively years. :) Report Abuse

my cat is 13 also he just throws up a lot, and same thing happen all the tests and what not and we think he is just old a old stomach nothing to worry about says the vets he's just getting old. Report Abuse

have they done a CT scan or xrays? Hopefully its not a tumor or some other type of cancer.

As when humans get very old they just have a decreased appetite and eat very little. Older people have more sensitives to food too. Its part of getting older. I would feed your cat fun foods he likes to stimulate the appetite, but give it to him slowly so he doesn't throw it up.

My vet swears by the WalMart special kitty brand.

My roomate had a cat that if you didn't get her treated for fleas she would vomit all the time. almost like she was allergic to the fleas or something. She would also scratch all her fur out. She was pretty old when this started happening. and she puked a lot and was real skinny

Try a different food. Science Diet is horrible and full of fillers... try feeding a food without corn as an ingredient at all. He could be getting a food allergy as he gets older. I'd also suggest getting more tests done. Neither thyroid or kidney problems have vomiting as a side effect...

i like cat vomit. you should eat it. it tastes like chicken
