Insurance Sexist?

Alright for starters i'm a 16 year old male and im bout to get my license but before that i gotta get insurance. anyway even though males gets in more accidents then females isn't it still sexist? I mean come on, even if i never had an accident or traffic ticket i get charged like $400 a month!?!?!? shouldn't insurance rates be based on your driving history rather than sex? thats like saying because your black you probably have aids and your insurance goes up but they don't test you for it.

I talked to my State Farm Agent when I got my license last year and she said that sex no longer comes into consideration for car insurance. Studies have proved that boys do not get into more accidents. Actually, she told me that girls get in more accidents, but boys tend to cause more damage, so it evens out.

Insurance is sexist and ageist and a whole bunch of other things!

My fiance & I got married and according to the insurance company they immediately figured we were more mature and reliable drivers so our premium was lowered a little bit.

I don't mind the demographic categories factoring into your insurance I do mind when they look at your credit score to determine if your premium should be higher or lower!
