I need some help i wanna forget and move on with her?

I have been happily dateing this girl for a year. I ended up falling in love with her and she fell in love with me. The realaship started to get more seouis, and she said she didnt want lies and broke down in tears and told me that 2 years ago she would sleep with people for money so she could support her son. She said she only did it for 3 months and it was always safe, and a year later she got tested for aids and she was clean on ever thing. I even went with her to a doctor and we did the tests again, but it hard to looked past it but im really trying my hardest to. I think she should of never told me.

I agree, it's probably better if she just kept it to herself. It helps to think that this person did this before you knew her. It's not like she's doing it now. You have to decide how much you love her for the human being that she is rather than what you feel she should be. If she can't live up to the image you think she should fit, whether present or past, then she never will be able to. Have you talked to her about how it makes you feel? If she lays something like that on you, she should also know how it makes you feel....as long as you're calm and rational about it and don't get ugly. Talk like grownups, I mean. Is she a good person? Is everything going well in the relationship otherwise? Try to figure in the whole picture. When you focus on the one thing...and that's understandable since it's so fresh and shocking to you...then the good things will be crowded out of the focus for awhile. It's tough to forgive loved ones sometimes, warts and all. It doesn't make you a bad person if you don't. It just means you know what you can handle. Good luck

aren't you glad she can be sooo honest with you. i bet that was extremely hard to tell you. I know sometimes it's best to leave some stones unturned, however what is done is done and she is a much better person now and you probably have a lot to do with that. If you love her. You love her. skeletons and all. im sure you aren't perfect either and she loves you anyway. im not trying to minimize her sinful past but those without sin pleaaase cast the first stone. You both have gotten tested, your clean. Great! Now if you keep looking in the past your going to stumble into your future. take the present for what it is....and right now it seems like true raw genuine love.
