Is this a positive pregnancy test?

i had a miscarriage 7 weeks ago, still have not had a period since then..i was 6 weeks along, i started taking hpt's as we have been ttc (please dont lecture me about how you should wait 2 months, thanks) for the past 3 weeks, on 6/23/08, my hcg level in my blood was 8...that next week most of the early hpt's i took came back negative...on 7/2/08, i took two rite aid brand early detections and they came back positive within the first minute...i took a first response and it was negative, today i took the dollar store brand and it was a faint positive, then i took the rite aid again which was still positive, and and "answer" (the same thing as first response) which came back a faint positive within 2 minutes.... im goin to the doctor tomorrow morning, but in the mean time i was just wondering if you think this is still the leftover hcg or if its a new pregnancy

That's hard to say. (Which is part of the reason why they tell you to wait at least one month after a miscarriage, to avoid confusion like this!) ;)


I'd wait till Monday and go in for a a couple of Beta tests next week to see if your hcg is rising, which would indicate a new pregnancy, or falling, which would mean it's leftover...

after 7 weeks you shouldn't still pee a positive. I would just wait until you go to the doctors to find out for sure though. you don't want to get your hopes up! I got pregnant immediately after my miscarriage but unfortunately I miscarried again. Both at about 8 to 10 weeks along. Just try to relax, the doctor will be able to tell you whats going on tomorrow morning. Don't waste any more money on tests, just wait until morning.

So sorry for your lose. I would say that you are pregnant and congrats. I had a d&c on the 26th of June and have been taking hpt to make sure my hormone levels are coming back to normal. It only took me a week to get a negative test. I took another 3 just to make sure. So I would say that yes you are
