Does Aids scare you?

It scare the ba-jeebers out of me.
I took an aids test when I was pregnant and it came out negative.
Is it 99% accurate?
I was with a slutty guy the year before and I was sure he gave me aids.. I'm still scared the aids test might be inaccurate. My baby seems fine [they did blood cell counts].. I haven't gotten sick and I seem healthy.. am I just paranoid?

i know what u mean of the scare. i was raped by a dude i knew..was freinds with him.. he raped me and i could of swore he gave me HIV.. hes in jail and all..but u know what... i was scared out of my mind as to whether i have the HIV virus or not.. i almost didnt want to live nemore.. but after numerous visits to the doctor..and to a therapist who is also trained in HIV ..

my results after a long waiting period of the window period for HIV.. i turned out HIV NEGATIVE.. and I HAD SYMPTOMS.. that was the most shocking news ever.. and I thank the Lord everyday... but let me tell u..

if u test at 3 months since ur last exposure of sex.. and it showed up as negative.. then u are negative.. its rare but there has been cases of people testing positive up till 6 motnhs.. but thats for those with weakening immune system due to other medical illnesses.. hiv/aids hotlines/cdc, all says 3 months ...

juss dont do that again.. and get tested with ur partner.. before u plan to have a baby.. cuz u not knowing and living life like wutever.. u could of easily infected ur child bc u were unaware and not getting tested.. DONT DO THAT AGAIN..

It's ok to have sex hun just use protection, and thoes test that the doctors give are never wrong when it comes to the aids test.

I Thought that I had it about 3 years ago and come to find out I was just pregnant with my son. Now I am on my second child and found out that I have herpes, but that's not getting in my way of living my life.

You don't have to be scared of it just take the proper precautions and really get to know the people that you want to or are going to have sex with. Not everyone has stds and/or aids. It's ok to be a little worried too, but just calm down and get back to living your life.

Yes its a very scary thing, but luckily i dont have it and i hope you try and stay safe during sex, dont just stick ur hand in the coin returns of vending machines and phones(junkies give ppl aids that way) so just be cautious but dont realy let it control your life. As long as your having safe sex and ur aware of your partners the chances of contracting HIV AIDS is rather slim so you can calm down a bit and breath a little bit easier.

If you haven't developed symptoms in over six months you are probably fine, but there are other STDs to watch out for. Chlamydia is one of them - some people have it with no symptoms at all. In the long run it can cause significant damage to the body.

Relax and calm down, tests are usually accurate especially if they are done six months after the last encounter. Just learn from this experience and practise safe sex and don't think too much about it. Good luck.
