I accepted my financial aid rewards now what?

I accepted my financial aid rewards through my college online and it told me i will be getting a OIG grant and a pell grant which comes to $2,409 for fall, winter, and spring but i dont have my high school diploma or my g.e.d. They know that and i already called and they said that i can take the placement test and if i pass everything then i will get my pell grant but im just curious of why i got my rewards and acceptance letter if i have to wait till after my placement test?

Does that mean im elegible without passing everything on the placement test or is it just showing me what i will get if i do?

If so when do you think i will start receiving my fiancial aid?

You will have to pass your placement tests in all areas before you can get the Pell and the OIG and all financial aid since you don't have a high school diploma or GED. It is called an Ability-to-Benefit (or placement) test.

Your award letter is just showing what you would get IF you do pass. If you have any money left over after your tuition and fees are paid the rest is given to you a few weeks after school starts.

A few weeks after you start your classes in college. How did you get into school without a HS diploma or GED?
