Had unprotected sex and now scared of stds

i went to vegas last week and had a one night stand and we had unprotected sex. i know its the dumbest thing i have ever done. I pulled out before the sperm came out but still worried about precum. anyway she said she didnt have any stds but i dont know. im not showing any signs or symtoms yet. what should i do to know im safe? im thinking about getting tested.. but what specifically should i get tested for? who knows she might have aids and not even know it.. im so scared. advice would be appreciated.

First, as difficult as it will be, I would wait to get tested for at least three months. If you get tested before then, you won't be able to trust the results, and then you'll be in the same situation you are now - only out some money.

Second, I would pay close attention for any symptoms. Especially pain while urinating, off-color discharge, unusual odors, rashes or sores.

Even if she had HIV, your chance of contracting it from one incident is no where near 100 percent. HPV, as someone mentioned, can't be tested for in men, and there is nothing you could do about it anyway. The only other incurable things to worry about are hepatitis and herpes. Both of these can be tested for after a period of weeks.

I would get tested for gonorrhea, syphilis, chlamydia.

I don't believe you can get tested for HPV, if you're a guy. And even so, there is nothing they can do for you, as a guy, if you have it. It would be just for your knowledge.

I think the HIV can take anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months to develop so I don't think you can get tested for that just yet.

I would ask your doctor for a "full std screening." They usually will put you through the gambit of tests when you state that.

Wow that was so dumb. I can't believe people still have unprotected sex with one night stands with strangers! Unbelievable.

That said, (and please I hope you learned your lesson - ALWAYS use condoms!) you should get tested for every STD under the sun, including HIV.

If she wanted to get laid, why would she tell you if she had an STD? She wouldn't. And like you said, she might not even know. Plus, what kind of woman is off having one night stands with strangers? The type that has done it before, most likely - so who knows what sorts of things she has - and now you may have.

GET TESTED ASAP.
