Why does Palin need to lie and make stuff up? ?

Obama may have only been in the Senate for a few years, but why does Sarah Palin LIE in her convention speech that Obama has not authored "a single major law or even a reform" when that is complete falsehood?

I get that she is trying to detract from her own thin record as mayor of Wasilla (pop. 6000), but why does she LIE so much? Doesn't that bother any Republicans?

Introducing a bill, and actually making something happen, are completely different. This isn't about Palin/Obama. Put McCain's record next to Obama's and wake the f**k up.

There is a difference between sponsoring and authoring a bill. Senator Obama has introduced or co-authored three bills only. Sponsoring a bill attaches your name to someone elses idea.

All republicans are good at is lying, smear tactics and attacks. They cant run the country. I really wish us democrats could have our own country and the republicans have theirs.

Hate to say this Mr. Good but this is now as much about Palin's resume as any ones. Lets not forget that should McCain become President, and should he become unable to be President (for whatever reason, and I am not saying he is in poor health but lets not forget that several Presidents have been assassinated and Nixon resigned) she's up to bat. Not to mention the fact that in eight years if she's VP she's number one choice for next up in the white house on her parties ticket.

Because it made a good soundbite and no one in the audience is gonna bother to 'fact check' as to weather or not she was lying... It's a calculated move. Republicans have know for a long time that's it's more necessary to make an impact with what you say then to say the truth. They've been using this tactic for years... 8 to be exact...

Well, what else does she have to run on? Governor of the richest state in the union for a year and a half, and mayor of a ridiculously small town- which she still managed to drive into debt with her needless constructing of a sports complex.

Liberals are scared. As Glenn Beck said on his radio show the other day, her acceptance speech was like "Conservative Porn". Her views, and record as GOVERNOR of Alaska stand out significantly more for me than Obama's thin record in the Senate or in the Illinois Legislature. I think that my wife puts it best, when she says "That guy scares the crap outta me. He thinks that WE are RICH!". I really worry what wil happen to this country if He is elected.....

Actually, what you list as "major" legislation, wasn't. Simply refunding existing actions that Bush had already implemented isn't "major" legislation. This "major" legislation was so important that nobody reported on it! It barely made a blip in the Congressional Record.

Stop puffing up Obama's bleak resume. He's done nothing.

A senator can co-sponsor a bill at any point up until the vote takes place on it. It's pretty much just attaching your name to it.

How much of the bills introduced by Obama have actually passed? If he says he's going claim leadership abilities and throw out this change mantra, he should be able to back it up with his record and he can't. He can introduce bills until he is blue in the face, but if he doesn't follow through what good is it doing?

i really need to see what she lied about. if your going to ask a question about Palin and list the certifications of Obama. it doesn't make sense. then shouldn't your question be about obama. if your going to "tell, accuse" her of making stuff up. i would like to know what you think she made up. it's irrevlant. besides that fact. Obama also voted against a bill in the Illinois Legislature that required medical help for babies living through botched abortions! Want him around? Not me! His record has no bearing on why I won't vote for Obama. He visited 57 states, doesn't want his kids punished with children, in a speech talking about fallen soldiers Obama saw some sitting in the audience!! That's enough to say no to Obama!! Yeah, he can speak with a teleprompter but listen to how many uh's he says when not using a teleprompter!
