Is there a better pregnancy test to detect early pregnancy?

I think I'm pregnant and I did a Rite Aid brand version of the e.p.t test last night (Sept 10) and it came out negative. Is it common for this to happen since my period is not supposed to start until sunday (sep 14). I read an article about the signs of early pregnancy and of the 9 signs I have been experiencing 5 of them for the past 2 weeks. My boobs are tender and they hurt to lay on, i have cramping and back ache, my stomach is really upset at night and smells really bother me. Can some one help me.

I think EPT and first response and all those expensive ones are crap. With my second pregnancy I took two dollar tree tests at night and they were bright positives. The next morning I took a first response test and it came out negative. So I took another off brand walmart kind and it was positive and I took the second first response test and it was negative. SO the cheap tests gave me positives, the expensive tests gave me negatives. I had a doctors appointment five weeks later, she measured me and we did an ultrasound. I was 6 weeks pregnant at my first doctors appointment so that means I was about a week and a half pregnant when I got those positives. So cheaper is better.

you probally aren't preg. I find it interesting that a lot of the symptoms of pregnancy are the same as pms. I would wait a week and take another test. By the way, I went to the dollar store for my test and took it the day after my missed period and the pink lines came up faster than lightning.

I personally liked the real EPT brand...but it is still early to tell if you are pregnant. I was always told to wait till the day before your period starts. As the pregnancy hormone is stronger then. But if you really want to know you can always go to your dr and get a blood test. Good Luck!

Try a First Response test...but wait until you're supposed to get your period. I am in the exact same boat as you..my period should come in a week but I feel I might be pregnant. Took a test this morning and it came out negative but I think it's too early to tell. good luck.

they say you get what you pay for. Buy a higher priced version and if its still negatvie then something else could be wrong and you may have caught a std. the next move would be to go to a health clinic or doctor. good luck.

I got a positive result 5 days before my period was due, and I used the Walgreen's brand test. The EPT & First Response both came out negative.

First Response is a good test....I would wait however until your missed period.
