Re-tested for Herpes...Essentially Normal?

My boyfriend was re-tested for herpes like 2 weeks ago. So I called them and told them they haven't contacted him [very uncool] and could they please do so with results or something, especially regarding HSV [he also had regular bloodwork and an aids test, syphillus, etc.]

So she said alright, called his cellphone, left a voicemail and she said "Everything is essentially normal" nothing about HSV, nothing helpful or beneficial. What the hell does essentially normal mean? He wants to know if the first diagnosis was accurate...

his first test in January said that he was exposed to HSV 1 and 2.

Another reason not to sleep around.
