So here it is the end of the month and.....?

my period has yet to come.. it was supposed to be here anywhere from 25th - 27th.. I took a pregnancy test from the 99 cent store (lol) and it came out negative.. Do you think preg. test from the 99 cent store is just as accurate as the ones from duane reade or rite aid?
also, if i am not prego then what else could be the reason?

I always use the $1 tests. Never had a problem with them not being accurate.

Are you sure you ovulated? If you've been stressed out for any reason at all, ovulation can delay or be skipped all together and then when you do bleed, you'll have an anovulatory period. But it could be that you ovulated late and your period will start 11-14 days after you ovulate, on average.

Stress and a recent increase in exercise can cause it to be late.

While we were trying to conceive, I used the $1 pregnancy and ovulation test from the Dollar Tree. I also tried out the expensive brands to see how accurate the cheap ones were. Come to find out there was no difference what-so-ever. I would recommend the $1 test.

They have always been accurate for me too! Why soend more money when they are just as good! Maybe you should check it again in a few days. They are more accurate the longer you wait!
