Getting Pregnant vs. Kool-aid Red die?

I went to a clinic with my BF. We have been trying to get pregnant for a bout 6 weeks, I thought that i was. Test came up negitave the Nurse asked use several questions about how long we have been trying to meds to our diets. We both said we have been drinking Kool-aid. She asked what color we said our favorite was Cherry so it is red. She said to stop drinking the red kind cause the red die maybe the cause of us not conceving. My BF has never heard of this before and i really want to have a child so if it is true then no more red Kool-aid for the both of use he just wants some proof before he gives it up so here is my question.
Can the Red die in Kool-aid prevent you from getting pregnant? (Not about the amount of suger or anything but just the die.)

It's probable just something she read in a obtuse study on the internet. Remember there have been "reports" that drinking sprite lowers you sperm count which isn't true.

Also keep in mind its supposed to take an average of a year to get pregnant.

I have never heard of that, but I must say that is a really interesting concept and I would love to know if it it true. Honestly I doubt it because look at how many things have the red dye in it. That would mean a lot of people couldn't get pregnant.

that's interesting i have heard this before also but i thought it was just a wives tale and payed no attention to it ... but if you are trying to conceive i would just stop drinking it anyway just in case....good luck

Is this serious? Well just stop drinking the Kool-Aid until after you guys have conceived and then carry on with drinking it. Or just try to find colorless Kool-Aid.

umm. We are kinda poor. We have our choice of kool-aid, water, or milk. I got pregnant using a condom so no, i don't think it can affect fertility.

That is the dumbest thing I ever heard. Talk to a Dr. not a poorly informed nurse. And get married before you bring a child into the world.

You are killing yourself slowly by ingesting food coloring, try to stop it whether or not it is affecting your fertility.
