Should ILLEGAL immigrants be able to get a driver's license or state aid (welfare)?

When they have the drive test and written test in SPANISH, how the hell do they except to read the road signs?

Absolutely not. State aid is suppose to be to help citizens, not people who are breaking the law. Welfare is never suppose to be used as a permanent fix to financial difficulty, only to help people until they can get on their feet (thought the system is flawed and makes it more difficult for it to do what it is suppose to). By its purpose alone, a person who can't get a job because they're illegal should not be allowed into the system.

As for the driver's licenses. Those are issued by the state, in other words by the government. The government is responsible for upholding the law, and the law states that these people are breaking the law by being in our country. Therefore, anyone who issues driver's licenses or state ids to illegals should be fired and held accountable, just like companies are suppose to be held accountable for hiring illegals to work for them.

any one coming to this country needs to be tested for TB and other communicable diseases. When they are here illegally they spread diseases. If they are infected then they should be treated to protect others. If they do have a child they should be ordered to leave. This of course will mean that some mothers and babies will die because then they won't go to a hospital. So they should be told and they should know in advance...no free tickets. If they are denied aid they will leave, or come here legally.

All Americans are required to show legal state ID in order to get a drivers license. Why should they be any different? With a drivers license and fake birth certificate they will get other documents, like a PASSPORT. There are many foreign nationals working in various government agencies willing to give a cousin 'a break'.

This is more than merely reading road signs (although your thought is a good one). If a person is illegal and in this country without proper permission then that person should not have ANY privileges that are provided to America citizens. We work for our rights and privileges and we pay taxes for the upkeep of America. These illegals contribute virtually nothing and they take, take, take. Enough! They should all be sent back to Mexico and the other countries from which they came. No ifs or buts.

Denying undocumented immigrants licenses is simply bad public policy. It increases our uninsurance rates and the number of unlicensed drivers, and it undermines effective law enforcement.

Road signs are easy to understand. Otherwise, we would deny driving privileges to tourists.

And undocumented immigrants do not qualify for welfare on their own.

That's why they use shapes, like a red octagon for a stop sign. That way, foreign drivers can visit the country and still drive.

I don't think illegal immigrants should drive, anyway. They can't work, so how can they afford the right amount of insurance? And why should the taxpayers pay for their welfare when they don't contribute?

When I was young, schools provided material for students. Now that the schools are packed, they make everyone purchase their own stuff now.

On a side note, my sister was taking her driving test, and she saw that a man failed the written test. The DMV lady kept letting him re-take the test. After 5 tries, the man gave up and said he would just come back tomorrow. Isn't that scary? lol
