Hand sanitizer on a open cut a.k.a sissy test?

ok well i was just bored and my dumb friend was doing a sissy test i wondered what it would feel like so i was dumb enough to try but i didnt stop and well yeah it got a pretty painful cut on the palm of my hand i asked my language arts teacher for a band-aid well she said it should be clean so she put hand sanitizer on it i stood there with my mouth wide out and froze because of it stinging so much i mean what are the positives and negitives about hand sanitizer on a open cut im in 8th grade

The good thing about it is that it cleans your cut. the bad thing is it hurts like a ******

well it kills all of the germs in the cut for one thing
