I want to file for divorce but got no money. I didn't pass the means test at Legal Aid. Pls help.?

He left for China Study mama. It's close to three years. He came back every few months stayed a few days. He has not been home after he came back Jan 8 and lefte Jan 14 this year.

It's not that hard at all. I know 2 people who got divorced and it cost less than $200. You can get a do-it-yourself divorce kit from any local Barnes & Noble or Borders bookstore for less than $30. It has all the forms in it that you would need; all you have to do is fill them out (a book comes with them explaining what you need to do in your situation). The tricky part is assets - if you have any community property that you share.
But to me it sounds like desertion - he deserted you if it has been 10 months since he saw you, and is living in another country. Since you can claim desertion, and the evidence is in your favor, the divorce will be granted. You don't need a lawyer. Just fill out the forms with your reasons, and turn them in at the local courts - the filing fee is usually under $150. A copy is mailed to him, and if he doesn't respond within 30 days, the divorce is granted. Or he can sign it that he approves and send it back - either way the divorce will be granted in your favor.
It's really not that difficult, nor expensive, as most people think.

It's sounds like your husband is not physically in your presence, so you can take your time, and avoid acting in haste. Go to your local library and check out some books about divorce. Do not limit your reading to one book, but seek advice from several. You should also have access to a law library -- ask at the courthouse. In our judicial district the lawyers are assessed a certain amount each year to support the law library, but the library is available for any citizen to use. Doing a divorce yourself may be hard, but not impossible. Take your time to do it right.

Go to local court house ask for waiver and/or deferment application(S). You may even be able to go to local court web site and look for forms.
