What would you like to ask?Anxiety, antisocial, no nutrients. Memory loss?


Well, I know I have anxiety just didn't know if its really social anxiety. Have been getting depressed since entering school and all I call it is hell. School sucks and I dislike everyone there (not individually of course) and can't stand it. Ever since entering the school I've been getting anxiety and have become much more severely depressed then I used to be. I don't have a healthy diet and I am skinny but not scrawny. I had a fairly good memory where I could recall most things if asked but now I can't even recall the simpest thing like dinner, project, little homeworks, tests, conversations, or even my name. I also used to type much fast at about 50 to 69 wpm or whatever the measurement speed rate is labeled but now I can only ime about 28 to 35 words a minute and have to look at the keyboard while doing so. Knowledge is one thing and I'm fairly smart but memory is needed to aid memory and I'm really needing good memory now when I've lost it. I will be heading to the store for Omega 3 since I heard it can help and also maybe some zinc but I need help finding other ways to increase my memory or have my memory work better. I'm and open to any and all suggestions (please try to cite proof for suggestion though) so if anyone believes they have any, plz help. This for me is a serious case not only because of depression but the fact that I'm still a teenager and I go to a school where I'm more actively challenged or worked than I used to be so I actually have to do something to *** classes and turns otu my bad memory is why I'm failing everything. I've gone from a straight a student to a simple asian failure. If one think, please don't recommend fish, its not that I don't like it (well yeah it is) but even though I used to eat fish at a younger age it kills my appetite now and as soon as I sea any fish it just brings barf to my throat (seriously). I've tried to go back to eating fish but I barfed. Its not that the cook is bad at cooking but the food is ominous to my tongue and throat. Again, all suggestions for regaining my good memory and helping me get somewhere in life IS and WILL BE GREATLY APPRICIATED for as long as I will remember and live!

I will simply do as much more research as possible and try not to skip meals and forget the old habits as well as I can as you all suggested. Thank you all a lot but I'll have to leave the community and you all to vote for what you believe is the best answer. This has been truly helpful, I know this is no different than anyone else's situations but I have been dehumanized a while ago so it wierds me out and seems alien-ish. Now is when I really have to rely on my brain and the fact is things can almost always get worse so I don't really need that with problems in the family and at home and outside problems. My memory is so bad I can't keep track of two of my good friends either so its very hard even though I know conversations actually help and doesn't harm.

Hi. Yes, it sounds like you are feeling really awful and very stressed. You know that your diet needs work and there are many websites that can help you make healthy choices. Remember, garbage in equals garbage out. Find foods you like, and balance out your diet, lots of veggies and fruit.
What else in your life is causing all of this anxiety? If it is social, please know that we all go through it and some feel it more than others. Could it be that you are trying too hard to be perfect. If you have been an A student before, you can do it again. You sound very bright, but really STRESSED. Any problems at home?
We all have problems that seem overwhelming at times, and it usually helps to talk to someone. Maybe you can speak to your school counselor, he could put you in touch with some helpful resources or ideas to help you succeed.
Depression can escalate if not dealt with. Your memory problem and diet are only a symptom. If you can at least look at the depression honestly, look at yourself honestly, you will see that you are not so different from anyone else. To be stressed and anxious at times is to be human.
Try doing one thing each day that is just for you, and your well being. Write out some ideas, and work on doing one thing each day that will help you feel better. Physical exercise, proper eating, drinking lots of water, talking to someone you trust (someone knowlegable.)
Give yourself some credit for the things you do well, I'll bet you have a lot to offer.

Hmm. I'd say slow down and think better till you get used to the new things and new ways, then it will come more naturally and faster. No former straight a students can become and stay failures unless that is what they want. I understand the bad memory; you'd gotten used to things coming so easily, but now train your mind to do other things. And maybe a multivitamin, but ask parents about that.

The anxiety will ease a bit or a lot once you are more comfortable in the routines, performing better.

Negative emotions (like sadness, stress, anger, etc.) causes your Serotonin production to be low; when your Serotonin level is low, you are more prone to getting Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression, etc.
