i like -The global warming effects on glaciers or polar bears it's such a major problem today and there's a lot to talk about. We really need to act now and stop global warming as soon as possible!

I say either the Aids in Africa or Asia topic OR the North Korea nuclear testing....all of these sound so interesting though! Did you hear about the president of Africa and his little aids situation? It is quite humorous and sad too about how poorly informed they are in that country. Try looking that up and incorporating how even the leader of their country thought that washing with soap (taking a shower) would prevent hime from getting AIDS - that is if you pick that one though! Good luck!

Make sure you pick an issue that interests you! Trust me it will make the research easier. Also consider which topics you can find a lot of info on.
I personally think genetically modified food is an interesting topic.

I think you should choose the child soldiers report. It's an important issue that needs attention. There are still child soldiers today.

Either bird flu, genocide and child soldiers or the food debate and aids because those are far more interesting and hardcore issues

what about it do you have to write? is it a general paper any way you want to go with it or are there guidelines?
