Was I right in ending it with this girl when I found out.....?

...she slept with a guy who has aids multiple times and she knew he had aids - so i stopped seeing after her after only one date and luckily never had any kind of intimate encounters with her, inlcuding kissing. When i first found out, i asked her if she would get tested and she just kept saying shes clean and was offended that i asked her. Even if she was tested and it came back fine, i wouldn't have kept dating her anyway, but especially since she was funny about it, i called it quits. Would any of you here sleep with someone who slept with someone who had aids, and would you do the same thing in my position?

She wasn't even the one to tell me what she did - someone who knew her came forth and told me - then when i confronted her she was mad that i knew and said "i dont like telling people that" and admitted it to me - it was beyond crazy

I agree with Jamie, you acted smart. You care for yourself. But how can she be so sure that she's clean when she slept with a guy who has aids MULTIPLE times??

you were absolutely right in your choice. there is nothing wrong with leaving her because she has aids ans refuses to get tested. you are only trying to protect yourself and dont want to get yourself in any trouble. no, i would do the same thing as you...i would leave the person.

i mean, people break things off for any number of reasons...(even for trivial things like they chew too loud, they hate cats, they are obsessed with cats, etc.) and this is just another reason

Also, if you ditched her because of the aids, that's pretty lame. You don't HAVE to have sex with someone ._. You chose sex over her...ugh.

Hell yeah, that is illegal if she slept with you knowing she had aids. It takes a lil while for the virus to show up on test, so there is a possibility that she has it. I would break things off with her too

after i read the first line of your question i already agreed with you, i do think you did the right thing and i would have done the exact same...your health is important good job

you did the right thing...always put yourself first in this situation...don't be like her cause in the end she will regret doing what she did. always be safe and who cares what other people say, thank god you knew before getting intimate with her...

i think that you defintly made the right decision here! I would never do that and lets just say i have a very healthy sexual appetite so.... it is hard for me to control my urges but i wouldnt touch her with a 10 ft pole

you did the right thing. you never know if she really is infected or not. and sometimes it takes up to 6 months it think to figure out if you got infected.

I would definitely not sleep with someone who had aids because I certainly wouldn't want to catch it. I would totally do the same thing if i was in your position.

Be proud of yourself! That girl seems like trash and only dates trash. Find a good respectful girl who cares about herself. There are plenty of them out there!

i wouldn't sleep with someone in that situation until after they'd taken all the tests, and if they refused i would move on. her reaction seems very immature, sounds like you're best out of there

This is a very sensitive subject. Mostly because as hard as we try, there isn't enough education on AIDS/ HIV.

First let me start by saying you were probably right to break up with her. BUT only because she was avoiding getting tested.

If she had agreed to be tested, Whether positive or not, you could have kissed her. You could have touched her. And if you think about it, You should be wearing a condom anyway.

That being said, it's best to abstain from any activity where the virus won't be exposed to the air. (penetration. oral, etc. ).

the virus is only active if it's not exposed to the air. It dies in less than 30 seconds if exposed to the air.

SO to answer your question.. I would have been suspicious and told her that if she didn't want to get tested, we couldn't go out, and say good bye.

I agree 100% with how you handled this situation. Like you said she wasn't at all serious when she brought up the fact that she slept several times with a person who has aids. She needs to be tested and take this very serious. It doesn't say here if she used protection either.The way it sounds she don't seem to care about infecting others. Thank god she did tell you. I'm in a wonderful relationship with a man I've been with for 4 years now. At the beginning if he told me he slept with a women who had aids I still would have dated him if he was responsible, was tested and used protection etc.If not I would have missed out on a great man who I hope to grow very old with.
