Would it be wrong to ask a person your this?guy/gals?

with the world being the way it is.is it okay to ask a girl/guy to be tested for stds/aids before you have sex?im a single/straight guy and i was asking a friend if it would be okay to ask and i was told no way .don't ever ask a girl that question.they will feel insulted and probably break up with you.so what do you think?

I think it depends on how serious the relationship is, if your relationship is getting to be very serious, I think it would be alright. My suggestion would be, to bring up the subject about sexually transmitted diseases and aids with her see how she feels about it and then after she has commented then you can ask her. You'll want to be sure that you have explanations ready and also you might even say that if she does it you will too. I know I had a friend that was worried that she might have one and so we went and got tested. Luckily we both came out fine. Hope this helps.

uhm... That is totally ok.... I don't know where YOU live, but where I live girls and guys sleep around the block! And by that I mean around the city, state, and colleges.

If it is somebody you just meet, there should be no offense AT ALL in asking if they're clean. It should be a requirement to ask. And just always use a damn condom to protect against some STI's. If you don't use a condom and then get aids dont complain about being a retard.

If it's somebody who you are planning to date, then yes, asking to actually go and get checked is cool. If they care, they will. If not, then why be with that kinda person anyway? Maybe he/she knows they have something and don't care if they give it to you, and that's why.

If they'll break up with you for asking for them to get an sti test, I'd probably stop liking them then and there. They should, if you wish for them to save it.

HOWEVER, do not ask them to get tested for 'aids' as aids is the syptoms of HIV, and will not be diagnosed ^^

Ask them simply if they would get tested for stis before you have sex. If they say no, ditch their ***.

Hmm... it can be touchy, and it would probably depend on how long you knew eachother. Assuming you've been dating, you'd hopefully know if she had been 'around' a lot. It would be the responsible thing to do, yes, but perhaps you could phrase it like 'When was the last time you were tested?' or something like that or you could reassure her with your 'testing' info, and she might volunteer hers. There are better ways than just asking. Why don't you explain in this day in age it's better to be safe than sorry and that you'll both go get tested together. If you want/expect them to do it, you should do it too. Even if you've done it before.

I think with the way stds are flying around these days, yes you should ask her. Even if you wore a condom there are some stds that you can still catch like gentile warts for example. Plus i think that she would only get upset if she had something to hide.

that's right (although it is also right to ask and be tested than be sorry forever) the girls will think that you think they are very low and they will be insulted.

i think that asking that question is very important because a rejection is way better then a life threatning disease.

It will be a tough thing to segway into, but i think its very nessesary. if she has been with other guys without protection EVER, then its totally rational for you to want her to be tested.
