Options? (College not going so well)?

I'm finishing up my 3rd year of college, and I'm stressed beyond belief. I'm currently married, so I'm having to work a full-time job to pay the bills, and I'm also trying to attend school, but it gets complicated, and despite doing good on all my tests, many classes I've failed because of attendance, which is unavoidable due to my job (my gpa has now slipped to a 2.1).

My question is, what do I do? If I quite my job, I loose my income and health insurance, both very important. If I quite school I'm never going to be able to survive in the work force. My gpa is too low for financial aids or student loans, so I feel like I'm trapped!!!

What should I do? Any suggestions are worthwhile!!! Does anyone know if there is a way to get subsidized loans other than FAFSA? (I only make $30,000 a year, but for some reason I don't qualify for a subsidized loan)

I once faced this dilemma as well. To help me I came up with a simple plan. I looked at all my debts and recurring bills. After I looked at my sources of income. Once I established how long it would take to pay off all my bills and how much I would need to live the way I wanted to without recurring any new debt.
During the time of working full time while working on paying down the debt I took one or two classes a semester at night and online. This worked well since I didn't have to do too much to maintain my sanity.
I also did not qualify for FAFSA. But after paying off my debt and calculating how much I would need to live on I was able to get a loan from the college and dropped work to part time got health insurance for my family and I through school.
This took a little while longer to do but now I have one year left till I graduate a years worth of student loans but it will be well worth it in the long run. It just takes some planning and motivation to know you can finish good luck.

My suggestion is trying to collect as much information as you can before making up your mind, here http://www.HealthInsuranceIdeas.info/fre... is a good one.

i'll be the first to say that 3rd year is the hardest. I think it is important for you to continue your education, maybe you can be enrolled part time, or try some online classes, that way it will cost less and you don't have to be in class at certain times. I would also suggest that you talk with your financial aid department, set up a meeting. Tell them the situation and maybe your school can offer some need based scholarship. You could also talk with your employer and see if they have any tuition reimbursement program. If you can get through this year, you can finish. I was in the same situation my 3rd year and 1st semester senior year, working full time and going to school....It can be done, just reach out to people at your work and school, you'd be surprised who will reach back to help you!

If you are in college, you may want to check out health insurance programs that are written through your school. United Healthcare has a plan available at many US schools. These student injury and illness plans provide wide ranging coverage and are designed to be affordable for college students. To check if your school is participating, go to www.UHCSR.com and enter your school name in the search box. You might also be interested in joining the American College Student Association (ACSA), a national organization for college students. They have lots of member benefits, including student health insurance. Their membership fee is affordable.
