Most definitely. It seems that most (at least here in Y/A) are comfortable with 'things the way they are'. If they were to make an honest examination, their whole belief system would collapse. They seem to have the attitude 'if it ain't broke...'. However, they turn a blind eye when they're taught beliefs that are obviously false, just as sheep being lead to slaughter. (John 17:3) This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.
You have to Study and learn the truth of what the bible teaches,This is what Jesus meant when he said: o you of little faith, the Jews did not have accurate knowledge of Jehovah. Same as today the clergy teach doctrines of men, not Gods word. All living things are living souls - the soul is not a seperate entity that flies off somewhere when the body dies.
