What do you think about PETA?

Hey everyone. I just thought of a good question to ask. I was just wondering who was for and who was against PETA.... and list your reasons.

Just a fun little question...


My standpoint-

We should strangle PETA

Reasons-

They killed 1,815 animals in 2007, out of 1,997 recieved.

They give young children graphic pamphlets saying, "Raccoons are stuck in cages and cry because your mother is greedy." They also include images of skinned animals.

Peta is against all animal testing, even if it resulted in a cure for AIDs!

They are FOR pit bull bans, claiming that it will cut down on pit bull cruelty. So apparently they are fine to have as pets, but they think it is fine to ban them to stop abusers? LIke that will stop them...

I hate peta they have no right to tell us breeders/show people that our dogs hate to show. They are a bunch of crackpot extremist terrorists. They should be disbanded i say we start a petition. They have been known to go around to dog shows and let dogs out of their cages and claim they can take the dog because the owner put the dog at risk when it was their fault to begin with. They have also been known to throw poison in the dogs crate. They are nothing but a bunch of nazi's to me.

They kill more animals in their shelters then any other kill shelters. They make me sick to my stomach. I cant believe they tried to get a jockey fired that one time it wasnt the jockeys fault. I cant remember which horse story it was. But i think it was the one where the horse shoe came loose and it went back in, in the wrong spot or something like that.

It just irks me that these people have no sense of decency. They are despicable human beings if you can call them that. They know nothing of animal rights.

Edit- HSUS is worse then them if you can imagine that. They withheld lots of money that was suppose to go help the dogs/animals of katrina so where'd that money go i have no doubts that its in their pockets. They have done many other things like never sending money anywhere last time i checked they only gave 97 cents to the animals the rest went to their pockets.

Edit- PETA has already brainwashed the BBC people which is a shame. And now they are trying to brainwash the USA network people. It just aint right that now they are targeting TV. They want to stop the showing of dog shows on TV which is ridiculous. Personally i dont want a bunch of crackpots telling me what i can watch and what i cant. Next they will target animal planet im sure of it, the host the eukenuba shows which personally ive been to one and its one of the best ive ever been too.

Edit- Personally if anyone from PETA came near me or my dogs at a show id punch them in the face. Nobody is going to harm my dogs. Id sue them if they tried.

On a weekly basis I am sent letters from various organizations asking for my donations. I contribute to most, but never to PETA. I filled out their survey they sent me but there was something about their letter that made me uncomfortable. I don't use their mailing labels they sent me because I don't want others to think I support them. I never knew some of the stuff you guys said. Thanks for enlightening me.

I also hate PETA. Is there actually a way to stop them? I think they have way to much money and political power and need to be stopped before they gain more. They have changed quite a few animal related laws recently and it will only get worse as time goes on. Any ideas?

I can't stand them.they are just like Greenpeace.Ideas are good but their methods suck. They talk about humane treatment while their employees throw animals in dumpsters, this i believe happened in the last couple of years in New York. .............Chaos you start the petition and i will sign it.

I agree it seems like they are on both sides of the fence. That comic it terriable I would smack someone who gave that to my child. I see nothing wrong with fur coats IF the animals meat was being used also. I believe thats why God put those animals here, to eat.

They have killed more animals then any so called animal organization out there. They are so Absolutely ridiculous that I wonder if all those stars that support them realize that they are against any dog ownership or animal ownership of any kind.

I totally agree with you, PETA is a bunch of extremist nuts. I feel the same way about the HSUS: they don't do anything to support local humane societies, they have not saved a single dog and they have many of the same goals as PETA.

I hate PETA, for all the reasons you've cited. They're a ridiculous hypocritical organization. Although I support veganism and vegetarianism, PETA goes about it in the wrong way.

peta can suck on my dogs weiner! they just a bunch of stupid hippies who have nothing better to do than brainwash people and little kids into not drinking milk. there leader admitted to killing animals! ethical? i think not. and there are LOADS of people on here who say "omg im for peta, yea no more animal cruelty!" but they own a dog! haha isnt that against there little idiotic code of law?


ADD: i've got something else too, remember not too long ago that lovely letter to Ben and Jerry's to substitute cow's milk for human breast milk? LOL! how pathetic can these people be?

if they were smart enough to know, milking a cow actually is enjoyable to her, it releases the pressure from the udders which can get infected and cause some very horrible pain. mothers who had lots of milk in their breasts can tell you how bad it hurts!

They do have SOME good points, but they are much to extreme in the way they go about things (ie. jumping on aussie wool growers about muelsing when they were already trying to phase it out by breeding new lines of merinos)...I mean if they were just a bit more subdued about what they did, they would probably be more succesful in their aim....jumping in and pointing the finger does nothing except making themselves look like fools.........and yea I read that thing about sea kittens....I would love to buy some kitten sticks from a kittten and chips store lol

PETA should really stand for Pet Eliminators Trouble America because they are sick bastards. Who the HELL would make such a comic?? No one in their right mind that's for sure!
