Am I the only one that didn't think the orange drink for the diabetes test tasted nasty? |
I thought it tasted fine... like extremely sugary kool-aid. I've heard alot of people say they dread drinking it, though. I just did that test on Wednesday and had the orange flavor. I liked it enough and thought it tasted like somewhat flat Sunkist soda. I just thought it was too cold, like it had been kept too close to the freezer or something and it had ice crystals in it. I am not excited to drink the nasty concoction this time around. I drank as much as I could last time before I told the nurse if I took another drink I was going to get sick. (I am really sensitive to sugar, always have been but I'm not diabetic). She told me I needed to finish it and I tried and got sick from all the sugar. i had orange lucozade and i hate the drink anyway because when i drink anything like that like coke ,fizzy drinks, coffee ,red bull, lucozade they all make me feel shaky and ill and tired but my test results came back normal so i didnt have diabetes did anyone else feel like this !!! Oh gosh I'm glad someone agrees with me! My doctor literally apologized for making me drink "that crap" and I must have looked extremely puzzled, because while I probably wouldn't make it a daily beverage choice, I didn't think it was all that bad. Haha you ladies are funny. I didn't think it was bad either. I mean, it wouldn't be my first choice for a beverage but before I went for the test I was expecting it to be horrible, but I was pleasantly surprised. I've heard other flavors aren't quite as delicious! Its not horrible... but this last time I had someone sitting there waiting for me to finish it. I didnt like that one bit. Also I think if it was cold it would be easier to drink. Luke warm anything is hard for me to drink. Im in Arizona where its like hot all the time so we are use to cold drinks! some are worse than the others. I've had Lime and Orange and the Lime was god awful! But the Orange reminded me of a super sweet slice soda. It wasn't "good" but it wasn't that bad. What sucks is how fast you have to drink it. I have to do that in 2 weeks and i'm so afraid it's going to be awful... they gave me the bottle already so it's been sitting in my fridge and I have to keep looking at it every day... good to know at least one person didn't think it was that bad! Hehe Haha! And here I was thinking I was the only one who didn't mind the orange drink! It didn't bother me at all, just verrrrrry sugar-flavored. I've heard horror stories about it, but didn't bother me one bit. It sucked more waiting for an hour. :P I had the fruit punch this time around. It didn't taste bad to me. with my son i had the orange. i actually liked the orange better. tasted like soda. I like it too! It wasn't as bad as it was when I was pregnant with my daughter, this time around it had a different taste. I took it like a champ! you're not the only one. I didn't think it tasted nearly as bad as everyone said it would. i didn't mind drinking it at all. Oh! I LOOOVED that stuff! Tasted like super sweet Sunkist! Yum! I asked them if I could have more! And I would drink some now if I had it! i dont think it necessarily tasted so bad.. but it was just filling and made my stomach feel like i wanted to puke cause you only had 5 minutes to drink it all, ya knowl i don't eat too much sweets.that's why i wasn't so crazy about it.but it was better than nothing since i didn't have breakfast. I had fruit punch. It tasted like those sugar filled beverages they make for kids. I hated it too. Maybe becoz I dont have a sweet tooth. It didn't taste bad...but the fizzyness wasn't great. i didn't have orange i had red and i thought that it tasted fine.. |
