How do you get tested for aids?

You can ask your family doctor to test you, or you can check the website hivtest.org to find free testing sites in your area. Testing for HIV (virus that can lead to AIDS), designed to detect antibodies to the virus, can be done by blood test or oral swab. Some sites use a rapid test which can give results in 20-30 minutes, but not all sites use that test.

You go to your family doctor or planned parenthood and ask to be tested. It's that simple. It is a blood test.
