West Point Military Academy?

I'm considering to go to West Point. I'm 14 and I have to do a report on the college of my choice, which is West Point Military Academy. I have been having a really hard time finding these answers, even on the official website, google, and other search engines. These are the last of 50 questions I have to answer and incorporate into my report:
1. Current Enrollment
2. Student/ Faculty Ratio
3. Admissions requirements, including test scores, GPA, and a high school courses needed.
4. Undergraduate Expenses, including in-state and out of state tuition, room and board, and other costs.
5. Financial aid or scholarship information.
6. Main programs offered, including any specialties West Point is noted for.
7. Athletics, clubs, or extracurricular activities offered.
8. Any extra information.
9. In/Out of state costs (I live in Michigan)
10. How many students live on/off campus

It would also be helpful if you could link helpful sites with any more information.

Thanks, I appreciate the help.

Honey, how many times are you going to ask this same question????

Same thing I told you 4 days ago:
Admission to any of the military academies is based upon the HIGHEST standards. Excellent GPA, involvement in school, leadership, volunteer, community, sports. Excellent heath. Recommendations from teachers, principals, and also either a Senator or Congressman. Each Senator and Congressmen is allotted a certain number of recommendations per year. Even if you are the best of the best... you still may not make the cut.

Cost to you, if you are accepted: $0
Although, you will be commissioned into the Army and required to serve a minimum term. (5 years active, 3 reserve)
You WILL live in the dorms on base, that is not an option. And there are no satellite campuses.

PS: You need to do a better job searching for info if you want in.... the answers to most of your questions are on the website!

Check out the following sites, I've looked at both the United States Air Force Academy and West Point and all of my questions which were about the same as yours wer answered...

1) http://collegesearch.collegeboard.com/se...

2)http://www.princetonreview.com/UnitedSta...

There is no option to live off campus. The cost of that education is around $100k/year, but you're post-grad military obligation brings it down substantially. Did you choose West Point because it's ranked the hardest to get into in the country??? If so, you may want to look into some other schools.

Every question you have asked is two buttons away from the start page listed below. I suggest that you have not made an honest attempt at research. Had you made this statement while at West Point your integrity would have been questioned and you might have been removed for dishonesty. Now do you work and prove you are worthy of West Point if you really want to attend.

it's EXTREMELY EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to get into West Point
you need to be a genious and have letters of recommendations from an official

Have you tried going to their website, and then contacting them to get your answers,

http://www.usma.edu is the place to look for all these answers.

Best of luck.

I had no problem finding this information on the USMA at West Point webvsite. For starters:

The current enrollment is around 4,000 (the exact number can be found on the "home" page.

The student/faculty ratio is approximately 1/14 to 1/18 (1 professor per 14 to 18 students)

The admissions requirements can also be found at the site

Undergraduate expenses are not applicable, since the army pays all tuition/fees etc. plus gives each cadet an allowance of around $6,000.

Go to their website for the programs offered: West Point graduates receive a Bachelor of Science degree upon completing their programs

The athletics, club extracurricular activities are among the finest offered in the US (see the web page below)

There are no differences between in/out costs, as, once again, the army funds the entire 4 years.

No students live off campus.

For someone who wants to go to West Point you don't seem to know very much about it.

The biggest thing is that it is FREE so all the questions about money are irrelevant. (Heck, they even pay you while you are there.) All the students live on campus. The current enrollement is about 4,000 with, I would guess about a 20-1 student faculty ratio and a 5-1 student staff ratio (ie. counting all employees).

Engineering is the biggest specialty as it was the country's first engineering school.

There are plenty of athletic and extracurricular activities but not much time to enjoy them due to the rigorous academic work load.

The academic standards are very high. I would guess about 1400 on the SATs and a 3.75 GPA.

I suggest you contact West Point for more information or look it up in Barron's College Guide (if they still publish it) for more info.

Good Luck
