My doctor said he needs more evidence that I'm pregnant? 8 positive pregnancy tests aren't enough?!?

I've been trying to conceive for 10 cycles for baby number 2, who I got pregnant with while on birth control.

I thought maybe I had PCOS or some other problems so I went to my GYN on Monday, January 26th. They took a blood pregnancy test and told me to come back on Tuesday, January 27th. I went back on the 27th and the blood test was negative, and I got a hysteroscopy and an edometrial biopsy. The biopsy was done to check my uterus for all the hormones needed to become pregnant and the hysteroscopy was a little camera and he checked my fallopian tubes and checked for any fibroids or cysts and such. They both came back normal. <Sigh> ok.

My last period was December 27th, the blood test was January 26th. I didn't get my period. So I took a pregnancy test on Sunday, February 1st. (Clearblue Easy DIGITAL) The test said PREGNANT. (WHOA) I couldn't believe it so I took the remaining two tests in the box. AGAIN both said PREGNANT.

I thought about it all night in disbelief and went to Walgreens the next morning February 2nd and bought First Response. I took all three of those tests throughout the day. ALL 3 had double pink lines which means positive and they all showed up within 2 minutes. So, I called my GYN. He personally got on the phone with me and told me it was impossible. But said to come in on the 3rd of February.

I went to the office and he personally gave me yet, another pee test... again POSITIVE. He then went on to say that it took 2 minutes for it to show up so he "needs more evidence" that I'm pregnant. WTF?!

I took another test today, my 8th, it was a Rite Aid brand test and again it was positive, it took 1 minute and 15 seconds to show, I timed it.

In conclusion, I took 7 pregnancy tests and my doctor said he needed more evidence before he could say that I was pregnant, I took another one today which in total is 8 BIG FAT POSITIVES! No cysts or tumors and I haven't had my period since December 27th. I have tingling boobs, cramps, slightly tired, peeing a little more throughout the day.

If I'm pregnant can someone explain to me what is happening? What do you think? I need some opinions because I'm going nuts!

I'd definitley see another doctor. Cause obviously this doc is in denial. Haha. Tell him to pee on a stick and when he gets negative tell him he needs to pee on another because you need more proof! Haha. Get a blood test to confirm but I think you are prego! Woohoo! Send me some baby dust girly! Haha!

false positives are rare.. not likely that you will have that many false positives! What more proof does he need? If your Dr is that much of an idiot, I'd look elsewhere.

Why did he say it was impossible? Anyone having sex has the possibility of becoming pregnant.

You may want to request a blood pregnancy test. That is how most doctors confirm it. If they have doubts then they usually have you repeat the bloodtest in 48 hours to make sure the level is increasing. That is the simple way of determining pregnancy or not.

I suggest getting a new doctor all together!

Wow, I am a little surprised that an OB/GYN would act like that. Their job is to protect you and your baby, and at this point he hasn't given you and prenatal care. I think you should get a new Dr. IF your Dr needed more proof, wh didn't he offer a blood test. Sounds to me like he is an idiot.

I would get a new doctor!! Can you get another doctor's opinion? Have you been on a fertility medication?......some times that will show a false positive. Hope everything turns out alright.

Congrats! I think you are pregnant. Idk why your doc didn't order a quant level (HCG)? I'd ask for one, and then another to make sure its viable and you are doubling.

So what happened? I believe its plausible that on Jan. 27th when you had a negative blood pregnancy test and had the hysterscopy and endometrial biopsy that the egg, still in the fallopian tube was fertilized and yet to implant, this is why the doc didn't see it, and you had no HCG levels measuring yet, but did have HCG in your system only a few days later and by Feb. 1st the HCG was high enough to register a positive result.

The doc is in disbelief because of the timing and he's closed minded
