Will an "F" effect my financial aid? |
Im worried about getting an "F"!!!? Why are you taking chemistry as an English major? It doesn't make any sense. I know many students majoring in the sciences who are having trouble with chemistry. If it's to satisfy general ed requirements, there are definitely easier classes you could have taken. if im not mistaken, you can fail 1 class and still get financial aid. You will get put on academic probation or something like that. Didn't you just ask this question...? I would highly recommend that you go to class. Try to get a "D" in the course and if it is not looking good, talk to your professor. Professors are willing to work with you if they know you are putting forth effort in their class. An "F" hurts your GPA average greatly no matter how high your other grades are. As far as your financial aid is concerned; you would have to find out what the requirements are to continue to renew it. Usually they require at least a 3.0 GPA on average, but it's different for every institution; some require a 2.0 and some require a 3.2. Good luck and try your best to get that "D". |
