What cn i do for my daughters health? the hospital don't seem to be doing much?

My daughter was born in october 2006, with her twin brother. At her 6 week check up, it was apparent that she was not developing as quick as she should have been.

The things she has wrong with her:
Only started walking december 2008
has hearing aids
cant talk,
nearly no enamel on her teeth : had to have 8 out 2 weeks ago
cant settle at night time
very bad acid reflux
very bad temper
very very weak arms, legs, stomach

She has been tested at the hospital for DOWN SYNDROME but that is all they will test for at the moment
in august 2008 they told us she "urgently" needs teeth out and that they would get her referred to the doctor that does teeth extractions......... no-one even tried to get her booked in until 20th march 2009, then she was in on the 26th march 2009, while she was in, they did a skin biopsy to do further tests for down syndrome
we have put in about 6 claims for disability living allowance for her, but have been rejected each time: because she is not 3 years old and they havent got a diagnosis for her condition: SHE CLEARLY HAS DISABILITIES is that not good enough for them??? do you have to be on your death bed toget DLA? sorry everyone, it just annoys me that shes my little girl and no-body seems to be doing anything or they arent doing as much as they could as quick as they could

Thank goodness there are mums like you. I would think your little girl's condition is simply baffling the doctors. But that does not excuse
the way they are treating your daughter nor your husband and yourself.

You need better for her. And, may I point out, it will not come if you be a nice, understanding lady
who is prepared just to wait. Now is the time you need action. The press and television news stations will get it for you. Contact the news desk of your local t.v./newspaper and report the matter to the producer of the news programme.

Just ask for the producer of the news programme. He or she will listen to you sympathetically if you clearly explain your daughter's story.

I hope something can at least be done to help the kid. It may be necessary to have her transferred to a specialist section of a larger hospital. Don't put a limit on your hopes, though. If anything can, this action that you can take will hasten it along.
Be prepared to give a true and factual statement to the t.v. camera, too. Do it now. Don't make it a malpractice report, make it an errand of mercy.

I'm very sorry to hear that. I'll pray for her. God has the power to heal if you believe it. It's good that your working with the doctors. God doesn't always answer prayers but He usually comes through when it counts. I don't know if you have been praying or not, but that's about all I can suggest.

i'm so sorry your baby is going through so much ghastly pain buddy .. i'm at a loss how to express the amount of sympathy and compassion i have for you ...... it simply breaks my heart to hear this ... you have to be strong mate and hang in there for there is an answer to be found and it might be in the simplest of places ...... lack of enamel, restlessness and insomnia, acid reflux, temper, weak arms, legs and stomach all seem to point in the direction of a major calcium deficiency ..... her calcium absorption is being inhibited ...... i would hazard a guess that this could possibly stem from a severe intolerance to lactose?? poor little girl ....... poor mommy and daddy too .... how painfull for you all .......... please get her reassessed ...... go to a nutritionally oriented physician or naturopath and get them to do testing for food allergies/intolerances and chemical sensitivities .......what you ingest and absorb through your skin and breath can have a vast impact on the way you think, the way you feel and your overall health and vitality ....... seriously, you can live a pain free drug free life if only you know precisely what chemicals and foods are upsetting your system .... it could be something as simple as lactose intolerance or an intolerance to processed sugar or wheat or any number of the vast amount of additives and chemicals they pump into our "food" to "preserve" them ...... or even an allergic or intolerant reaction to any one of the ghastly chemicals they put in childhood immunizations ...... disorders from which people suffer due to intolerances to food or chemicals in their diets can cover almost the whole spectrum of physical and mental illnesses ..... an extraordinary concept but mind blowingly true....... do yourself a favor and go and get her allergy tested.
