Could I possibly have diabetes?

Hey,
I know it's impossible for anyone to tell me. I need to see a doctor and get a blood test, but I don't have insurance at the moment, just my son and wife are covered. I'm getting some today, and hopefully everything goes good and I get approved and covered quickly.

Anyways my symptoms are, high blood pressure, some tingling and numbness in my hands and feet only in the morning, sweaty palms, shaky, nervous, I also have anxiety, so there are some related symptoms. My grandma, mom, two uncles, and one aunt on my mom's side has either type 2 or type 1 diabetes. My grandma actaully died at age 45 from not knowing she had diabetes i guess, I've never met her.

I also get a lot of cysts, and a doctor I know said, i'm at high risk because getting a lot of cysts indicate my immune system is wack. Or I could possibly have aids, etc.. that destroy my immune system, which I doubt I have any of the things he mentioned. I'm a pretty healthy person and take care of myself most of the time. Also my wife is pregnant, and they have to test her for std's which showed she had none. I've only been with her for the past 6 years. So, most likely if I had any std's she would also have them.

I guess that's it. I will get tested as soon as possible, just want some opinions for now.

Excessive thirst, having to urinate during the night are a couple of symptoms of diabetes. You say you have cysts. A cyst is a growth that is filled with watery fluid. A boil is a painful thing that might grow on your butt or thighs. It can get red and is filled with pus. Do you have boils or cysts? Boils do show up on diabetics who are not in control of their sugars.

While you are waiting for your doctor visit, get some exercise. Walking is good. It will burn sugar in your blood.

I was diagnosed last week with type 2 Diabetes, I put off getting tested and would suggest that you don't wait. Meijer has a service in the pharmacy to test for Glucose and Cholesterol, it cost 59.00 to get both panels and BP done.

good luck

Yes, and it's most likely because of the toxic chemicals that have been placed in many various foods over the years, as well as fluoride in the water that we drink...

If you have a history of it in your family then you should be aware. Also if you have UTIs you need to be carefull.

I hoped i helped

You should definitely see a doctor. Start changing your diet and lifestyle. Only drink water and alot of it every day. I hope you're okay.

well first off is your family type 1 or type 2 classified diabetic if you add detail saying so then i will edit my answer to help you

uh maybe its aids

Diabetes is a lifelong condition where either your body does not produce enough insulin, or your body cannot use the insulin it produces. Your body needs insulin to change the sugar from food into energy. There are three main types of diabetes:

Type 1, where the body makes little or no insulin;
Type 2, where the body makes insulin but cannot use it properly.

Diabetes is a disease that occurs when your body doesn't make enough of a hormone called insulin, or if your body doesn't use insulin the right way. If left untreated, it may result in blindness, heart attacks, strokes, kidney failure and amputations. Only half of the people who have diabetes have been diagnosed, because in the early stages of diabetes there are few symptoms, or the symptoms may be the same as symptoms of other health conditions.

Early symptoms of diabetes may include the following:

Extreme thirst
Extreme hunger
Frequent urination
Sores or bruises that heal slowly
Dry, itchy skin
Unexplained weight loss
Blurry vision that changes from day to day
Unusual tiredness or drowsiness
Tingling or numbness in the hands or feet
Frequent or recurring skin, gum, bladder or vaginal yeast infections.

Im so sorry about your Grandma... i hope this will help...
