What will I be tested on in my lifeguard swim test for a job?

I'm CPR and First Aid certified(I took the classes for lifeguarding) and I recently had an interview at a community pool for a job as a lifeguard. They called me back and said I have a swim test tomorrow. What should I prepare for and expect? Thanks for the help!

Head first surface dive and grabbed the brick and holding the brick and swim. Or holding a 40 lbs victim and rescue him from the water.

can you imagine them making you get a brick off the bottom of the pool and swim around with it? that would be way too easy to be true. i mean, we do that in swim practice all the time.

be prepared to do some lap swimming, some rescue practicing, and all that jazz. otherwise, i have no idea, so you're on your own, kid.

some places make you rescue a brick, and some places make you rescue your boss who will be an impossible person pushing and fighting you while you try to rescue them, if you manage to do it to their standards then they will be impressed enough to hire you.

Lifeguards are usually required to swim 500 yards of freestyle in under 12 minutes

at my pool, they make them swim and retrieve a brick off the bottom
