9th grader. Drivers Ed next year? YAY!?

kayyy.. so a little while ago my school nurse tested all of the freshmans hearing and eyes. i passed my eye test (with my glasses) and i was fine with that. : )

however, i was born with a deformed ear. the docter told my mom it was because when i was developing i layed on it. my ear doesnt actually look deformed its just smaller then the other one.

anyways, thats besides the point. so since its smaller i only have likeee 50 % of hearing in it and i failed my hearing test.

in order to be approved to take drivers ed i have to go see an audioloigist to get my hearing tested again.

but im scared cause.. what if they wanna likee.. do surgery to improve my hearing ( if they can) i meannn.. if they want to give me a special hearing aid that will fit then ill be okay with that but i dont want surgery on my ear (sounds painful) just to be approved for drivers ed.

my docter has to sign the paper and if i dont want surgery im scared they wont sign it.

do you think there is anything that would improve my hearing or will the docter just sign the paper and send me on my way ?

If they want to do surgery on your ear, you should consider it. I'm sure it would benefit you in more ways in life, than drivers ed. These day hardly any surgery is painful, with all the medication.
But don't do anything you don't want to do.

You should talk to your doctor to see if there are any other ways that your hearing could be improved besides surgery.
