MEPS military entrance processing station?

I was at MEPS the other day. I swore in and all of that but my recruiter said that it is not final yet. I took a urinalysis test there when do I get my results from it back? My recruiter said that the drug testing /HIV portion they do not give to u at MEPS but that it is sent later? Does anyone know how much later? I am so paranoid that I might have AIDS or somthing horrible and not know it! HELP

Someone also said If I was a positive on the aids/drug test i would have found out before they swore me in...im so confused

You won't be notified unless you have a test come up positive, that's the way the military roles.

They won't inform you of anything related to your tests unless something negative comes up.

Your urinalysis is tested for sugars and proteins on the spot and then sent out to be tested for drugs. They won't inform you of anything unless there is a problem (takes about a week).

Your blood test goes straight to testing in the facility. Remember when you sat in that boring room waiting all day? They were testing blood for HIV, Hepatitis and the like. If you'd have been positive for anything major, they'd have let you know on facility. So, just relax, kick back and enjoy the time you have before basic training. Trust me, it comes sooner than you think.

usually your urinalysis test is done long before your set to swear in.

Thats strange...all of this is usually done on the spot while at MEPS and before you swear in
