How long does it usually take to get the results of a DNA test?
Why would the mother have to get tested too? Does it just aid in determining the overall results or what?

Mainly. You Need a Swab From the Suspected Fathers Mouth And the Childs, Or a Hair Sample Or Blood Sample. The Results For Each Are Dependant, Swabs Will Come Back Quicker then Blood Samples
it usually takes about 1-2 months for results. tho you can pay
a large fee to get them to be delivered earlier, but i had a mate who payed the amount, and the legal fee to get them sent earlier is

the mother gets tested to make sure it is her child also so they can look at the hole gentic profile
