Is getting tested for AIDS free?

Hey im tryin to get tested without my parents knowin.

What's goin to happen when u go to the hospital? Do they ask for records or something. I don't really know what they'll want me to get. Cuz it's my first time

If you live in the UK this is free on the NHS on referral from your GP or to a walk-in centre.

i live in new york and i got tested for HIV for free at a clinic by my school (ACQC-aids center of queens county). it was completely confidential and free. they asked for my sexual history but they didnt need any records and it took 20 mins to get my results back. i dont know where you live but i'd say google "free HIV clinic in (your area)" or something. btw DO NOT give blood just to find out if you're positive. that is the worst idea i ever heard.

Usually insurance will pay for this and there's a high probabability your parents will find out. You could try Planned Parenthood and see if they have a sliding fee.

Edit : Do NOT give blood hoping they'll catch it if you have HIV! This is the worst advice and I can't believe someone actually wrote that. Get and pay for a test out of your pocket if you're worried you contracted something.

Usually most cities have a free health clinic that you can go and get tested for free. Your family doctor may even be able to test you or recommend where to go. Your parents won't need to know unless you want them to know. Good Luck!

Just go donate blood (if you're old enough) If there is no problem with the blood they use it. If there is they tell you. It is free and you could be helping someone else.
