Lifeguard first aid test question?


You are on duty at your facility when a patron emerges from the locker room stating that a custodian had had an accident, spilling a small amount of cleaning product in one of his eyes. What should you do to provide care for chamicals in the eye?

a. flush away from the uninjured eye
b. flush eye with soap and water for 15 min
c. flush eye continuosly with water for 10 min till EMS personnel arrive
d. both a. and c.

D. remember that you don't want to use soap, you want to flush out what ever product is causing pain to the eye also you don't want it to go to the other eye
