I need help with a dream?

I dreamed that my husband's cousin had a baby. Now she has been trying for about 2/3yrs and just revealed that she had a surgery that will aid in her getting pregnant. I am also 3days late and have taken a pregnancy test and it has come back negative. Now why is it that I would be dreaming about her and is it possible that something could be going on with me and it's my bodies way of letting me know? I know this sounds crazy but I hardly ever remember dreams and NEVER miss my cycle unless I have been pregnant. Oh and I am suppose to have a hysterectomy but have yet to do it...could this be why? My mom said that when you dream of a birth it means that a death is coming.?

But why the cousin? Why would I even think her? We aren't close. We have very little communication.

First of all, the saying about dreaming of a birth means death is coming is the same as seeing a black cat, bad luck will come upon you. That is supersititon. There is no basis to support it. As a matter of fact, people die and are born every day. It is not surprise that one day you dream of birth, someone will die. You don't control others' lives from your dream..

Now back to your dream, I am not sure what pregnancy means to you. It could be fear or desire depending on whether you want a baby or not. The projection about husband's cousin having a baby instead of you may reflect two things.

1. If you want a baby, it is sign of low self confidence, that is why you project on others rather than yourself.

2. If you don't want baby, it is a sign of fear, but you do not want to project that in you because deep down you do not want to confront the reality. The surgery part signifies some difficulties that you may need to go through that you may want to avoid.

Whether you want a baby or not, the missing period part does have something to do with this dream. That situation lurks into your subconscious mind and you had to vent it out in dream.

p.s. The reason being your cousin may be because lately they somehow flashed into your subconscious mind. However, the importance is not "Who", but "What" and "How", it means the content is more important than anything else.

But I would make the interpretation that your mind is finding the irony that as the cousin is taking steps to encourage an ability that you will soon lose. However, your body is different than hers and your health concerns both your life and your children.

Let the lament pass and follow up on getting the hysterectomy done.
