Why is good bone important?

Im taking my C level pony club test for stable management today, and we were moving this weekend. So yesterday I didn't get to study at all and so I figured it just aske here for simple questions- why is good bone important? & we measure that under their knee right?or is it over their knee?

I haven't reviewed my first aid yet, so can anyone tell me what you would have in a first aid kit and when to use it- I know like gamges (don't know how to spell), vet wrap, vaseline (petrolium oil), thermomiter, gloves, betadine (what is that used for again?), I know Im missing a whole lot, I have a huge mind block right now, but any help would be great.

Good bone show that the horse is a good load carrier. This can also mean it's lees susceptible to injury.
It should be measured around the Canon Bone, yes, below the knee.
I can think of a few things to add to your First Aid Kit: Scissors, wound powder, sterile wipes, absorbent cotton pads!!!

Good bone is important because a horse with good bone will be a better weight carrier.
As for the first aid, I'm awful with that lol - all the ones I guessed you've already mentioned.
