Will Illinois help out with Medical Expenses?

Just got out of the Hospital and my Insurance covered the Hospital Stay- But wont cover Testing and Lab Work Being Done- (like CT Scans- X-rays and the cost of the Radiologists) I have BCBS but only Emergency Coverage. Nothing More. I live in Illinois and my Bills are already at about $2900. Is there any government aid to help out with this, since im only 22 and dont have the money for this?

They only have assistance programs when there is a catastrophic situation. I don't think this would qualify

You can negotiate the charges for the lab tests and scans. Many hospitals will give you a discount to help pay down the fees.
