What do you need to be eligible for Financial Aid?

I know most of what it's needed, but what I'm trying to know is if they ask for the High School Diploma? I'm not sure if they do, but my friend said they did. I also heard of a test you can take to qualify, is that true? And lastly and the one I'm more interested in. I also heard that if someone doesn't have any of the ones mentioned, they can get Financial Aid after passing six classes and getting the College units in "degree applicable" classes, is that really true??

It depends on the type of college, 2 yr or 4yr and the type of program you want to complete. Also if it is a for profit school, it makes a difference. You have to have one at a 4 yr college. I am not sure what test you are mean . To apply for financial aid at any college, go to this website to apply: www.fafsa.ed.gov., To find out about the diploma and "degree applicable" classes will vary from school to school and it is best to speak to the admission offices of the schools you are interested in. They will also be able to let you know what programs qualify for financial aid.

THEY DONT ASK "FOR" THE HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA, THEY ASK "IF" YOU COMPLETED VIGOROUS SECONDARY COURSEWORK.
